I am a Researcher in the field of Genetics. I have always been drawing, painting and making crafts, but stopped for a while as I got frustrated that my art didn't improve. Started drawing again a few years ago and decided to start at the basics, keeping an open mind to all techniques and trying different things until I find something that works.
I am much more advanced in graphite drawings, but dabble in some coloured pencil work as well as painting - acrylic techniques mostly (admittedly with craft paint ). I seem to be missing some crucial wrist movement when it comes to watercolour.
I am self-taught, hence I do art on occasion and most of it would be practise piece. I have basic art supplies and equipment. Deviant art is a great source of inspiration and I have always been a visual learner. I am still flailing around and trying to find my style all whilst running after a science career, several other hobbies and finally spending some quiet meditation time
I am happy to receive tips and hints as you view (my few) art pieces. Thanx & Enjoy!
